How long do you give someone before deciding “this just isn’t working”?
I used to give people endless chances. Now if I feel anxious more than excited most of the time, I walk away.
There’s no set timeline, but ongoing confusion that never really improves is usually your answer.
I’m going to do this now, after I’ve tried to explain just incase they really don’t understand what they are doing and the effect.
I did this exact thing back in February, told myself I’d say it straight one time, no drama, just lay out what wasn’t working. honestly didn’t expect much to change but saying it out loud made the decision so much easier after, no matter how they reacted. if they got it, you’d know fast. if not, at least you’re not stuck wondering ‘what if I explained it differently.’ anyone else find that the explaining part matters less than just finally saying it?
